On this day in live music history (2-5-05): New Orleans funkateers, Galactic,  have been laying down the funk around the world for well over a decade now and have become one of the most well respected funk bands on the planet in that time, for good reason.  Here they are in their hometown playing the famous Tipitina’s, joined by Papa Mali and Willie Green.
